内容简介：
全书共有19个单元，基本上每单元分三个部分，但有些单元则根据内容分为两个部分。
第一部分是天气介绍，内容覆盖如何接听天气咨询电话、发送天气要素传真、发布短时预警和短期天气预报、介绍奥运会帆船赛天气等。本部分侧重于使读者掌握基本的天气预报和服务用语，积累必需的气象英语词汇和表达方式，达到基本交流的目的。
第二部分与第三部分难度较大，包括北京气候、紫外辐射、气象与体育、天气展望、天气会商，以及发布灾害性、突发性天气预警信息，中英文预报翻译等内容。这两部分试图让读者了解国外的气象预报、服务现状，掌握一些复杂的语言点和表达方式，熟悉天气事件诠释所需的英语表达，并能进行较为完整的英语天气会商和服务。
