《妇女与发展》内容简介：人类社会是由两个翅膀构成的，即男人和女人。两个翅膀不平衡，鸟就飞不起来。中央民族大学和加拿大西蒙佛雷泽大学于1999年5月，在北京共同举办了《妇女对经济、文化、环境的作用和贡献》研讨会。这是中加校际合作项目的进一步巩固与发展，也是合作成果的具体体现。首先，我们要感谢加拿大国际开发署和加拿大高校联合会对这次会议的召开所给予的鼎力相助，感谢中国教育部、国家民委、国家环保局所给予的有力支持。
